Good morning Darlings.
Let us talk about a morning skincare routine that works and can leave your skin feeling amazing for the whole day. We all have different skincare needs and requirements but there are some basics that we all should be doing.
Taking care of our skin daily is an essential part of living also considering that our skin goes through so much during the day that our morning skincare routine is essential to create a protective barrier for the skin during the day. With this routine, you can take good care of your skin and be able to go about your day without worrying about the damage free radicals can have on your skin.
CLEANSER
First and foremost, we start with a good cleanser which could be a foam or gel which helps to maintain the effects of the natural waterproofing barrier of the skin. Cleansing the skin also helps in refreshing the skin’s appearance and gives it a clean feel.
TONER
The toner is a good second step after cleansing your skin, it is also a cleansing method that balances the PH of the skin and gets the skin ready for the following steps of your morning routine.
SERUM
Having a serum as part of your skincare routine whether it’s a morning or night routine is very important because it contains a higher concentration of active ingredients than a normal moisturizer, you will start seeing a better skin texture, more moisture and softness.
EYE CREAM
Eye cream is a definite must-have in your routine, you know what they say “Prevention is always better than correction” so, incorporating an eye cream into your skincare routine will always prevent early appearances of wrinkles and fine lines. Always use the ring finger when applying the eye cream because the skin around the eye area is very sensitive and has a thinner skin texture than the rest of the face.
MOISTURIZER
After applying eye cream the next step will be to apply a face moisturizer of your choice, depending on your skin type. This is an important step because a moisturizer helps to normalize and improve the effects of the skin’s natural moisture levels.
SUNSCREEN
Now this is the last and MOST important step of your morning routine and that is SPF. First and foremost the importance of wearing an SPF is to avoid getting burnt by the rays of the sun however, this has been proven to not be the only reason we wear sunscreen. If you are always in front of a computer screen and are exposed to air conditioning, then you definitely need SPF daily.
